The tetrahedral d4 doesn't roll very well and the tapered shape makes it difficult to pick up (not to mention the risk to your feet!) I never liked the look or feel of the \"shard\" or \"double wedge\". The \"crystal\" d4 worked ok, but with its rectangular and triangular faces it just wasn't very pretty.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 2024, after many iterations I came up with this stunning d4 design featuring elegantly proportioned hexagonal and rhombic faces that I call the Hex d4. It tumbles better, is easier to pick up, and looks gorgeous.
